How we realized in the USA that Europe's forests have a toilet paper problem

Läppie ist ein antimikrobielles und geruchsvermeidendes Wischtuch für das kleine Geschäft. Während sie in den USA bereits zur Standardausstattung gehören, sind derartige „Pee-Rags“, zu deutsch Pinkeltücher in Europa noch gänzlich unbekannt.

Die amerikanischen Parks und Wälder sind deshalb viel sauberer als die europäischen. Klopapier, das nach dem urinieren (norddeutsch „pinkeln“) benutzt wird, wird oft aus hygienischen Gründen liegen gelassen und beeinträchtigt so unser aller Erlebnis in der Natur.

How do I use Läppie?

Whether you're hiking, climbing, biking, canoeing, going to festivals, taking the dog out, or heading to the beach in your van, Läppie replaces toilet paper after urination and helps you manage sustainably and gently with the environment.

Läppie is made from a polyester fabric processed using the Silvadur method. This fabric is also used in respiratory masks (for sterilization) and sportswear (for odor reduction). The material is designed to be absorbent, and thanks to a PUL membrane, the outer side and your hands are protected from moisture.

Läppie is designed so that after use, it can be folded and attached to your backpack, saddle, or waist bag. It doesn’t smell and discreetly hides what needs to be hidden.
